(2) Reviews are very important for my business and they help showcase my work and ability to provide a quality product and service. To show my appreciation for verified buyer reviews, you will receive a 15% discount code in exchange for your time and feedback, when you post a review on your item(s) ordered. There are two ways to post a review with or without an account. You may post a review by logging in to your account, find your previous order, and click on the review button. Or, you may go to the product listing directly, click on the review tab, and post a review in the form at the bottom. Only verified buyers with matching email addresses to an order will be able to post a review.
What does the color choice 'Natural Variation' mean?
Natural Variation means the boards are not stained. I specifically pick boards that are from different wood species and naturally weathered colors that contrast nicely together. The boards are sealed with a clear coat satin finish which deepens the natural color of the boards.
What does the 'Alternate Use' selection on your product listings mean?
Many of my buyers have used my wooden state signs for purposes other than wall hanging decor. These alternate purposes can range from European/Western mounts, guestbooks for signatures at a wedding or a special event, signatures from a group of friends who then gift the sign to someone special, or side table tops, and more. I ask for this information so I can ensure various things are done during the handmade process that will better facilitate the alternate purpose. Hardware for these alternate uses is not included, however they are ready to hang out of the box with a hanger and felt pads on the back.
For example:
- European/Western mounts: The hanger on the back will be reinforced to ensure it can handle the added weight.
- Wedding guestbooks or a gift with signatures: The boards will be smooth enough for signing. Sometimes pallet wood can be rough in texture, and that makes it difficult to impossible to sign.
- Side table tops: The backside of the state will be stained/finished as the front side is. The backside of the state signs are usually not stained or finished since they are typically against the wall. The hanger and felt pads on the back will be left off since it won't be hanging.
- Other: Contact me if you have a specific use that may need to be considered during the handmade process.
Can you make a custom country, territory, shape, size, or color?
Yes. Contact me on custom designs, shapes, sizes, finishes, and colors. I'm happy to provide a quote on something original or something you want to revise on an existing item in my shop.
Do you personalize or customize your products?
Yes. Contact me for a quote if you want personalized wording, logos, wedding info, names, or more, on your item(s). I can create mockups for you to approve, bringing your vision to life before production begins.
Are these made for outdoor display?
No. Everything handmade and sold from Streetwood Design is made for indoor display. However, I can make them for outdoor display. They are made differently, and that comes with additional cost, and it will not be covered with the 1 year warranty I offer for indoor display items. Contact me to discuss making your state signs for outdoor display. I typically discourage outdoor display for wood crafted pieces. The outdoor elements are very hard on wooden items. The humidity alone will cause the wood to expand and contract on a daily/seasonal basis weakening every structural joint over time. Consider wooden fences, and decking, and the condition of that wood over time in the outdoors. They ultimately will need to be replaced or repaired due to being in the outdoor elements. That said, if you are wanting to display your item in a covered porch area, or similar, where rain does not directly make contact and the sun does not beat down on it all day every day, it might be ok. Contact me with any questions or further discussion on displaying your items outdoors.
Is there a warranty or guarantee on your products?
Yes. Everything (for interior display) handmade and sold from Streetwood Design comes with a 1 year limited warranty. Please refer to the Streetwood Design warranty policy.
How much is shipping?
Shipping is included in the price of the listing within the 50 U.S. states and US Military Postal Service. Please refer to the Streetwood Design shipping policy for further details. International shipping is not available through Streetwood Design.
What should I do if an item is damaged during shipping?
Contact me with pictures of the damaged item and the shipping box from all sides. I will replace the damaged item. For more info, please refer to the Streetwood Design shipping policy.
Can I checkout as a guest?
Yes. You can checkout as a guest or create an account if you like. An account is not required to place an order. Your account is a convenience for you to see previous orders, track shipping progress on an order, manage your addresses and saved payment methods, and easily post reviews.
How do I create an account?
You can create an account during the checkout process for your order. There is a checkbox to 'create an account' and you can enter the required information during checkout. Do you accept returns/exchanges?
Yes. Returns and exchanges are accepted for any reason up to 14 days from receipt of your order. Some custom and personalized items may not qualify. Please refer to the Streetwood Design returns policy.
