- Designed for interior display only.
- Handmade to order with rustic reclaimed wood from pallets.
- The stain seals the wood, and the "natural variation" gets a clear coat sealant which enhances the natural color of the boards.
- Ready to hang out of the box. Lighter states have a saw-tooth hanger on the back. Heavier state signs have 2 d-ring hangers. Felt pads on the back protect your wall and keep them evenly spaced 1/4".
- Some 36" and 48" signs with a second measurement around 28" and larger may be shipped as two pieces. Hardware is included for simple DIY assembly with a screwdriver.
- Pallet nails and nail holes are excluded unless specifically requested.
- Unique saw marks and natural variations in grain, knots, and color are part of the wood’s authentic character. Each piece will vary.
- Each board is cleaned, cut, sanded, assembled, and stained, by hand.
- The state sign cutouts, & plaques are approximately 3/4" thick once the pallet boards are attached to the backboard, and may vary around 1/16".
- From being a pallet to shipping your state, there are 16 steps in the handmade process. Careful attention to quality and appearance is given to every state.

Do you offer any discounts?
Yes. You will receive a 20% discount for your first order when you subscribe to email alerts on new products and promotions. I will never give your email to anyone nor email you multiple times a day. You might receive 1-2 emails a year. Your email solitude is as important to me as mine.
What does the color choice 'Natural Variation' mean?
Natural Variation means the pallet board colors are from natural weathering and different wood species, not stained. I hand pick boards that will contrast nicely together. The pallet boards are sealed with a water-based matte clear coat polyurethane which deepens the natural color of the boards.
What is the 'Intended use' option in the product listings?
'Intended use' is an optional selection to let me know how you are going to use the state sign, cutout, or plaque. I'll make subtle adjustments to better facilitate that purpose. Many of my buyers will use their state signs as European mounts, wedding guest books, side table tops, gifts that are signed by friends and loved ones, and more.
- For example:
- If you select 'European mount' I will reinforce the hanger on the back considering the added weight. It's usually not necessary, but it doesn't hurt.
- The wedding guest book and gift signing selection will have smoother boards for signing while maintaining the rustic charm and character of each board.
- Table tops will not include a hanger and felt pads on the back since it won't be hanging on the wall. The backside of the table top will be stained to match the front facing since it is exposed and not hanging on the wall.
- You can also select 'Other' and specify a purpose I don't have listed.
Can you make a custom country, territory, shape, size, or color?
Yes. Contact me on custom designs, shapes, sizes, finishes, and colors. I'm happy to provide a quote on something original or something you want to revise on an existing item in my shop.
Do you personalize or customize your products?
Yes. Contact me for a quote if you want personalized wording, logos, wedding info, names, or more, on your item(s). I can create mockups for you to approve, bringing your vision to life before production begins.
Are these made for outdoor display?
No. Everything handmade and sold from Streetwood Design is made for indoor display. However, I can make them for outdoor display. They are made differently, and that comes with additional cost, and it will not be covered with the 1 year warranty I offer for indoor display items. Contact me to discuss making your state signs for outdoor display. I typically discourage outdoor display for wood crafted pieces. The outdoor elements are very hard on wooden items. The humidity alone will cause the wood to expand and contract on a daily/seasonal basis weakening every structural joint over time. Consider wooden fences, and decking, and the condition of that wood over time in the outdoors. They ultimately will need to be replaced or repaired due to being in the outdoor elements. That said, if you are wanting to display your item in a covered porch area, or similar, where rain does not directly make contact and the sun does not beat down on it all day every day, it might be ok. Contact me with any questions or further discussion on displaying your items outdoors.
Is there a warranty or guarantee on your products?
Yes. Everything (for interior display) handmade and sold from Streetwood Design comes with a 1 year limited warranty. Please refer to the Streetwood Design warranty policy.
How much is shipping?
Shipping is included in the price of the listing within the 50 U.S. states and US Military Postal Service. Please refer to the Streetwood Design shipping policy for further details. International shipping is not available through Streetwood Design.
What should I do if an item is damaged during shipping?
Contact me with pictures of the damaged item and the shipping box from all sides. I will replace the damaged item at no cost to you. For more info, please refer to the Streetwood Design shipping policy.
Can I checkout as a guest?
Yes. You can checkout as a guest or create an account if you like. An account is not required to place an order. Your account is a convenience for you to see previous orders, track shipping progress on an order, manage your addresses and saved payment methods, and easily post reviews.
How do I create an account?
You can create an account during the checkout process for your order. There is a checkbox to 'create an account' and you can enter the required information during checkout. Do you accept returns/exchanges?
Yes. Returns and exchanges are accepted for any reason up to 30 days from receipt of your order at no cost to you. Some custom and personalized items may not be eligible, though I can often work around that. Please refer to the Streetwood Design returns & exchanges policy.
How do I post a review on an item I ordered?
There are two ways to post a review, with or without an account.
(1) With an account, you may post a review by logging in to your account. Find your previous order in the list, and click the review button.
(2) Without an account, you may go to the product's page directly and post a review using the form at the bottom of the review tab. Only verified buyers with matching email addresses to an order will be able to post a review. Your email address is only used to verify it matches your order.
